What is this guide about?

The hook is the first sentence of your content: it decides whether people stay or scroll on. Claude studies what works in your niche and turns it into fill-in-the-blank formulas you apply to your topics, in your own words. You paste one message and it does the rest.

What you will have at the end

  • A bank of 10 hook formulas, explained, with blanks to fill in.
  • 10 hooks for your next piece of content, scored, with the best 3.
  • A small table to keep what really works for your audience.

Before you start: study, don’t copy

You’re going to look at other creators’ content. One simple rule: you keep the mechanism (for example “a number + a mistake to avoid”), never the sentence. A mechanism belongs to nobody, a sentence does. It’s also more effective: a copied sentence sounds fake in your mouth.

Prepare 5 accounts: 2 from your niche, 2 neighbours (different topic, same audience) and 1 outside your world that works very well. Avoid huge accounts. For each one, note the first sentence spoken in its 5 recent best-performing pieces, with the format (reel, carousel…) and the views you see. Listen to the sound: the hook is often said, not written. That makes 25 hooks in one document.

The message to copy

You are going to help me build a bank of hook formulas for my content. I'm not technical: talk to me in simple words and go one step at a time.

I attached about 25 hooks from content that did well in my niche, with their format and views. Use only what I gave you: invent no figures.

Step 1. Ask me my niche, my audience and my style if you don't have them.

Step 2. For each hook, find the MECHANISM, not the topic (for example: number + promise, mistake to avoid, before/after, uncomfortable opinion, direct question, one-sentence story, secret, comparison). Show me a table: hook | mechanism | why it holds attention. Tell me the 5 most frequent mechanisms and the ones rarely seen in my niche.

Step 3. For the 10 most useful mechanisms, write a fill-in-the-blank formula reusable on any topic: the name, the formula with [blanks], an example in a DIFFERENT niche from mine, and when to use or avoid it. Never reuse a sentence from my list word for word.

Step 4. Ask me the topic of my next piece of content, my audience and what the person should do next. Write 10 hooks, one per formula, short (sayable in under 3 seconds). If a formula needs a figure or a result I haven't given you, leave a blank (to be filled by me). If I have a voice sheet, write in my voice.

Step 5. Score each hook from 1 to 5 on: clarity, curiosity, promise, proof, and “sounds like me”. Keep the best 3 (18/25 or more) and offer a shorter version of each. Tell me which one risks being misunderstood.

Step 6. Give me my formula bank in a single block to copy into a file, and a small tracking table (date | topic | formula | hook | views at 24 h) to fill in when I publish. Tell me a formula only deserves a verdict after 5 tries.

How it works

  1. Open a new conversation in Claude.
  2. Attach your document, copy the message above and paste it.
  3. Answer its questions. Claude does the rest.

To make it work well

  • Give Claude only the figures you actually saw. It can’t see other accounts’ statistics and would invent them.
  • Keep the rare mechanisms: if they work and nobody uses them, that’s your spot.
  • If the hook isn’t clear in 3 seconds, change the formula rather than tweaking the words.
  • Don’t judge a formula on a single piece of content.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it really take?

About 45 minutes the first time. After that, the bank serves all your content.

I have no reference account in my niche.

Take accounts from a neighbouring topic. Mechanisms carry over, words don’t.

Can I do this without a paid account?

Yes. Everything works in a simple conversation.

Can Claude go look at the accounts for me?

Don’t count on it: it can’t reliably see Instagram or TikTok statistics. You collect the hooks, it analyses.
